Confiar en + noun / Confiar en + que + infinitive
No confíes en desconocidos en internet. 7 Don't trust strangers on the internet.
A pesar de las dificultades, confiamos en que superaremos los obstáculos. / Despite the difficulties, we trust that we will overcome the obstacles.
Consistir en + Number of components / Consistir en + Noun / Consistir en + Infinitive

PLEASE NOTE: if you want to express a belief related to an action, you use the phrase "creer + que + conjugated verb”.
Empeñarse en + Infinitive

Mi amigo se empeña en ir al concierto conmigo, pero ya tengo otros planes. / My friend insists on going to the concert with me, but I already have other plans.

Los niños insisten en que quieren ir al parque, aunque esté lloviendo. / The children insist that they want to go to the park, even though it's raining.
Obstinarse en + Infinitive
A pesar de los consejos de sus amigos, se obstina en continuar con esa relación tóxica. / Despite the advice from his friends, he stubbornly insists on continuing that toxic relationship.
Mi abuela se obstina en hacer todo ella misma, sin aceptar ayuda de nadie. (My grandmother is stubbornly determined to do everything herself, without accepting any help.)
Participar en + Noun
Los atletas se están preparando para participar en los Juegos Olímpicos. / The athletes are getting ready to participate in the Olympic Games.
Agradezco a todos los que han venido a participar en esta importante conferencia. / I thank everyone who has come to take part in this important conference.
Quedar(se) en + Place / Quedar(se) en + Infinitive
QUEDARSE:
Me quedo en casa este fin de semana. I'm staying at home this weekend.
Los niños se quedaron en el parque hasta tarde. (The children remained in the park until late.)
QUEDAR:
Quedamos en encontrarnos en el café a las 3 de la tarde. / We agreed to meet at the cafe at 3 PM.
Martín quedó en el restaurante con nosotros / Martín will meet at the restaurant with us. (ONLY IN SPAIN)
PLEASE NOTE:
Quedar doesn’t need a preposition when:
Referring to clothes (to fit): Este vestido me queda muy grande. (This dress is too big for me.)
Referring to have a certain amount of something remaining (to have left): Solo me quedan dos manzanas en la nevera. (I only have two apples left in the fridge.)
Used as a resulting state of mood ( idiomatic expression for “to be”): Luego de la cena, todos quedamos satisfechos con la deliciosa comida. (After dinner, we were all satisfied with the delicious food.)
Or to be located or situated (to be): El hotel queda en el centro de la ciudad. (The hotel is situated in the city center.)
Radicar en + Noun or Infinitive
El problema radica en la falta de comunicación entre los departamentos. / The problem lies in the lack of communication between departments.
La belleza de este arte radica en expresar emociones. / The beauty of this art is based on expressing emotions.
Tardar en + Infinitive / Tardar + Period of time + en + Infinitive
Ella tardó en reaccionar al recibir la noticia. / She took time to react upon receiving the news.
Tardé dos horas en llegar a casa. / It took me two hours to get home.
